
Bright Academy, a student-run nonprofit organization, is offering a free 12-week online math competition class designed for students in Grades 4–8.
No prior competition experience is required. The course introduces foundational problem-solving strategies and core topics commonly seen in middle school math competitions.

Time: 4:00–5:30 PM PT

Over the 12-week course, students will build a foundation in the following areas:
Ratios & Percentages
Algebraic Manipulations & Equations
Speed, Distance, and Time
Mean, Median, and Mode
Factors, Primes & Divisibility
GCD and LCM
Permutations, Combinations & Word Rearrangements
Probability and Casework
Complementary Counting
Triangles and Quadrilaterals
Circles and Similar Triangles
Area and Length of Complex Shapes
3D Geometry
Students do not need to worry about missing a class. A recording and homework will be provided after every session, allowing students to review the material and practice at their own pace.
Parents will receive class recaps and homework links by email after each class.
This class is a great fit for students who:
Are in Grades 4–8
Are interested in mathematics and problem-solving
Want to explore math competitions for the first time
Would like to strengthen their math fundamentals
Have little or no prior math competition experience
All grade levels are welcome, even if students are outside the recommended Grades 4–8 range.
