    Opportunity Summary

    Join the Youth Business Venture Challenge (YBVC) as a volunteer and help inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. Volunteers play a critical role in creating a professional, welcoming, and memorable experience for student founders, judges, sponsors, families, and guests. Whether you’re interested in event operations, technology, hospitality, media, or participant support, there are opportunities for volunteers of all experience levels.

    Event Date: August 15, 2026
    Location: Stanford University – CoDa Center
    Volunteer Shifts: Flexible scheduling available from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
    Who Can Volunteer: High school students, college students, and adult volunteers


    Opportunity Description

    The Youth Business Venture Challenge (YBVC) brings together ambitious student entrepreneurs to pitch innovative business ideas, receive feedback from experienced judges, and connect with industry professionals. Volunteers are essential to ensuring the event runs smoothly from setup through awards and cleanup.

    Volunteers may assist with a variety of event functions, including:

    Event Operations

    • Setup and venue preparation

    • Registration and attendee check-in

    • Guest greeting and wayfinding

    • Crowd flow and visitor support

    • Awards ceremony coordination

    • Event cleanup and teardown

    Participant & Judge Support

    • Escorting judges and VIP guests

    • Managing presentation schedules

    • Supporting student teams

    • Delivering and collecting score sheets

    • Assisting with judge deliberations

    Technology & Production

    • Presentation and projector support

    • Microphone and audiovisual assistance

    • Stage management

    • Presentation timing and speaker coordination

    Hospitality & Guest Experience

    • Food and beverage support

    • Sponsor and VIP assistance

    • Networking area management

    • General guest services

    Media & Communications

    • Photography

    • Videography

    • Social media coverage

    • Behind-the-scenes content creation
