    About This Program

Explore the frontiers of modern physics through personalized, one-on-one research mentorship. Working directly with an Oxford researcher, you will investigate fundamental questions in physics while developing the analytical, mathematical, and research skills essential for future study in STEM.

Unlike traditional research programs with fixed topics, this program is fully customized to your interests, academic background, and long-term goals. Whether you already have a research idea or are just beginning to explore physics, your mentor will help you identify meaningful research questions and guide you through every stage of the research process.

Research meetings are scheduled individually between you and your mentor, allowing you to begin at any time and maintain a flexible schedule throughout the year. Weekly one-on-one meetings are complemented by independent reading, mathematical problem solving, literature review, and ongoing research development outside of each session.

Throughout the program, you will gain firsthand experience with authentic scientific research—from exploring advanced physics concepts and reading academic literature to formulating research questions, developing theoretical models, performing mathematical analysis, interpreting results, and communicating scientific findings. Depending on your research progress and project outcomes, your work may continue toward conference submissions, research publications, or other advanced academic opportunities.
