Our 8-module program guides students through the complete creative process—from discovering their story to producing a polished, ready-to-submit college application video essay.
Designed primarily for Grade 11 students, the program gives students the time and space to explore their experiences, collect meaningful materials, develop their story, and create a video that feels genuinely personal—not manufactured.
Over 8 modules, students will:
Discover Who They Are — identify personal qualities, values, interests, and experiences that shape their story.
Define What Makes Them Memorable — learn how to move beyond simply listing achievements and find an authentic point of view.
Mine Their Stories — uncover meaningful moments from everyday life, family, interests, challenges, failures, and quirks.
Write & Storyboard — develop the concept, hook, structure, script, and visual plan.
Direct Themselves — build confidence and natural on-camera presence without sounding overly rehearsed.
Produce — plan locations, wardrobe, props, lighting, sound, and filming.
Edit — shape pacing, B-roll, music, subtitles, and visuals into a cohesive final story.
Review Through an Admissions Lens — evaluate the finished video by asking:
“After watching this, what will an admissions officer remember about me?”
Students leave the program with a complete, polished video essay ready for college application submission—along with a stronger understanding of how to communicate their story authentically and effectively.
Grade 11 students:
This program is ideal for students who want to get ahead and have sufficient time to reflect, explore their stories, and collect photos, videos, objects, and other personal materials that can make their final video more meaningful.
Grade 12 students:
Given the limited timeline remaining in the application cycle, enrollment is subject to eligibility review on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss whether the program is appropriate for your timeline and application needs.
