    About This Program

    The South Africa Firm x 7EDU Innovation Learning Program is a 6–8 week virtual industry shadowing experience designed for high school students (ages 14–18) who are eager to develop real-world skills in innovation, leadership, and problem-solving.

    Through a structured, team-based learning model, students explore and solve global challenges in areas such as Smart & Sustainable Cities, AI in Everyday Life, Digital Product Design, and Environmental Impact. Working in teams of four, participants research real-world problems, develop innovative solutions, build prototypes, and present their ideas during a final Demo Day showcase.

    Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience in:

    Research and insight development Creative problem-solving and innovation frameworks Prototyping and storytelling Digital collaboration and teamwork Public speaking and pitching

    Participants are also introduced to 3D Innovation Framework, giving them a practical approach to innovation and design thinking that can be applied to future academic and professional opportunities.

    The program is fully online and flexible, allowing students to balance the experience with other summer activities and commitments. Students collaborate using industry-standard tools including Notion, Miro, Google Workspace, and Slack, while also receiving mentorship support and access to weekly office hours throughout the program.

    In addition to building practical workplace skills, students will:

    Work on a real-world innovation project Gain exposure to diverse global perspectives and cultures across Africa Build a portfolio-ready project for future college and career applications Develop confidence in leadership, communication, and collaboration

    Eligibility Requirements

    • High school students aged 14–18

    • Interest in STEM, innovation, entrepreneurship, or creative problem-solving

    • No prior experience required

    • Applications are reviewed by 7EDU Accepted students complete registration and payment

    • No interview required
